In my country its tribes. Most people will never trust or accept a person from another tribe. We are divided along tribal lines and its deeply disturbing.
For many if you dont speak their language, they don't care about you, they wont love or trust you and they would not allow their children marry you either - that's the way it is. I am married to someone who is of another tribe. In the beginning I was uncomfortable telling certain people from my area I married outside my tribe. One even told me that if I was patient I would have found a nice igbo man. That I was too pretty to marry a yoruba man. It's sad that humans must find a way to create differences - tribe, race, class, anything.
